I believe, at heart, we all want lo love and to be loved, yet many feel lost , isolated and anxious .We want to be understood by others, but also protect ourselves from hurt. We may struggle from a deep sense of shame and worthlessness.
Sometimes we may find ourselves trying to manage the complex feelings brought up by significant shifts in our life such as loss, separation, parenthood or a medical diagnosis. It can be whelming to discover we are not going to be able to live the life we expected.
Contemporary society provides us with many 'quick fixes'; which initially alleviate or numb us from pain .We gain a surface-level sense of control through relentlessly pursuing self improvement ,chasing workplace success or by drawing self esteem from our relationship status, or the admiration of others. Yet these things still leave us empty and isolated from our sense of self.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy ,by contrast, explores our thoughts, feelings and responses in depth. It helps people to gain a better understanding of both themselves and others. As a therapist, I have seen how this can be transformational.

I offer a free initial 15-minute phone meeting to discuss your needs and how I might be able to support you. If you decide to work with me, we would then book an initial 60-minute consultation session so that I can gain a broader picture of your past experiences, current feelings, and what you would like to work on. After this we would meet, either online or in-person for weekly sessions lasting 50 minutes.
Psychodynamic therapy usually involves working together long term, building a strong therapeutic relationship so that we can carefully explore how your experiences impact upon your unconscious thought processes. I therefore generally offer long term therapy for one year or more, though I am also able to offer brief, time-limited therapy to address a current situation.

Although 3 rooms are situated on the ground floor, there is a small set of stairs to gain entry through the main entrance.
Where to park
The closest bus top to the centre is on Killick Street, a short 10 minute walk away. It is served by the number buses 17, 91 and 259.
The closest tube stop is King's Cross Station, a 7 min walk way. Caledonian road and Barnsbury station (Mildmay line) is also approx. 7 minutes walk away. Angel Station is approx. 15 minute walk.
There is cycle parking just outside the centre.
On street parking in the area is payable and there are two spaces directly outside the building. Payable parking is also available on Wynford Rd, as well as on the main Caledonian Road. Parking fees apply Mon- Fri 8.30 am - 6.30 pm and Saturday between 8.30 - 1.30 pm. You can pay by phone by calling 020 7125 0039 quoting location 61210. You may park for up to 4 hours, no return within 1 hour
